South Hams Motor Club have been running night road events since 1972 and we are constantly looking for the “ideal” format, listening to competitors and the changing conditions in the sport and area. We feel accuracy in all sides of the car will be required for a good result on our events.
For 2022 we welcome Chuley Road Garage as full event sponsor, a name that has been linked with SHMC and local motorsport for more years than they care to recall!
The ethos is becoming: “Do the event Saturday night, wash it Sunday and drive it to work Monday”.
New map for 2022! We are using OS Map 201 this year. Rally HQ is at Trethorne Golf Club, Kennards House, Launceston, PL15 8QE and just minutes from the A30, so those travelling from a little further afield will find the event very easy to get to.
We look forward to receiving your entry, and any questions you have please ask away, our details are in the SRs.
Regards
Kevin and the Organising Team
Marshals Wanted!
As always we need a lot of helpers to make sure the rally runs smoothly - no experience necessary - if you can offer any help on the night (or before) please get in touch with our Chief Marshal via the club website at: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
Note about entries (Article 6 / SRs.) ...will be selected in a “first come, first served” basis for the first 45 entries. If after 5 full days after entries open, the maximum number has been reached then the remaining 15 entries will be selected at the “organiser’s discretion”. If it has not been reached at this point, entries will be selected in a “first come first served basis”. The maximum number for the event is 60, should more entries be received this figure, a reserve list of 10 will be created and will be contacted if an entry becomes available. Entries will close at Midnight Wednesday 16th February.
Read a great article about the rally in the South Hams Sports Monthly. (Pages 28 and 29).
