2024 Details:

Welcome to this annual event organised by South Hams Motor Club which we hope will be useful for competitors for the 2024 season. Landowner Lloyd Stevens has kindly agreed the use of his land for practice/driver training.

 

We welcome local rally car preparation business Historic Motorsport (South West) Ltd who return as event sponsor for 2024 and thank Dave Boucher and team for their support.

 

 

Are you rubbish at starting? Too many revs or keep on stalling at that vital moment? Can’t fathom how to correct understeer or oversteer? Power slides and Scandinavian flicks or even the basic clutch control then this can be the ideal place to learn.

 

We have the full use of the venue between 10am and 3:30pm for you to do as you choose. Hopefully, this will give you the boost to your confidence for the season ahead, whether it’s rallying, sprinting, autocross or gymkhanas. A great place to do some set up work too! Get your entry in and have yourself a lot of fun.

It is entirely a practice/training event organised for the sole purpose of enabling drivers to gain experience of their vehicles.

  • There is NO element of competition
  • There will be NO awards
  • Cars will NOT be started simultaneously
  • The event is open to fully elected members of South Hams Motor Club aged 18 and over, who must hold a valid DVLA driving licence. (You can join when you submit your entry online if not already a member.)
  • Passengers (aged 18 and over) will be allowed as long as they are a member of South Hams Motor Club - Pay on the day at "HQ". (Credit / debit cards or cash welcome!).
  • All entrants must be 18 or over.
  • Drivers and Passengers are reminded that they may have to produce Club Membership cards before collecting their track pass on the day.
  • All vehicles MUST POSSESS A VALID mot Certificate (if applicable) and an MSUK Log Book (if applicable)
  • Vehicles will not be required to be taxed or insured for the public highway.
  • Vehicles must comply with Motorsport UK Regulations J Competitors: Vehicles.
  • ALL participants must supply and wear full overalls and helmet.

Test Day Entry Details 2024

 

Entry will open at 8pm on Sunday 3rd December, 2023
We are asking for all entries (must be aged 18 or over) to be made online where you can pay by BACS or via PayPal. This should mean that we can get started on time, ensuring a full day. Memberships can also be completed with your entry. You will have to make sure you leave enough time to allow your membership card to be processed and posted out to you as you may have to show it on the day before collecting your track pass.
Passengers - aged 18 and over (£10 each) welcome but must be members of SHMC - passengers can pay on the day (Credit / debit cards or cash welcome).

CO2 and Climate change

As part of our commitment to:
•    The protection of the environment
•    Reducing the detrimental impact of events on the environment
•    Improving the sustainability of motorsport in the UK

We donate a small environmental levy from our events to offset the CO2 produced by all competing vehicles, and that of the South Hams Motor Club organisers on the event. We invest this in a local tree planting scheme to permanently offset the carbon produced and to achieve net-zero carbon for our events.

Passenger Details

 

Passenger entry fee - £10 (plus SHMC membership)
ALL Passenger entries (must be aged 18 or over) to be made on the day at "HQ" - pay with cash or debit/credit card.
Membership (£18 single or £23 Household) can be paid with your entry.
Once paid you have will be given a track pass.
  • Passengers - £10 fee at the event HQ on the day!
  • ALL Participants must supply and wear full overalls and helmet.
