trees planted in 2014

Moor Trees 2014 certificate of plantingFollowing the 2013 South West Endurance Rally we arranged for local company Moor Trees to plant 56 trees to offset carbon emissions from the rally. This was funded with a £5 per entry levy - included with each rally entry fee.

The trees have been planted at Hannah's at Seale Hayne just outside Newton Abbot, South Devon. Previous rallies organised by the club have used the roads within the Estate (when it was a college) so it is great to see the trees planted on site.

South Hams Motor Club is pleased to support the tree planting programme.

Our commitment

As part of our commitment to:

•    The protection of the environment
•    Reducing the detrimental impact of events on the environment
•    Improving the sustainability of motorsport in the UK

We donate a small environmental levy from our events to offset the CO2 produced by all competing vehicles, and that of the South Hams Motor Club organisers on the event. We invest this in a local tree planting scheme offered by local charity MOOR TREES based in South Brent, to permanently offset the carbon produced and to achieve net-zero carbon for our events.
