We are delighted to be able to present the 2023 TSH Stage Rally at RRH Portreath. At the request of competitors we are returning to the two day format offering approximately 101 miles of competition. We are proud to again be a round of the ASWMC and ACSMC Sealed surface championships.
We would like to take a moment to thank all volunteers and marshals that work hard before, during and after to make the event happen.
Additionally we thank all the personnel of RRH Portreath.
We look forward to seeing you at RRH Portreath, it's good to be back for 2 days!

This is a closed venue and NOT open to the public.
But you can still come for the day! --- If you wish to come to the rally you must do so as a Marshal.
No experience - no problem!
As always we need help running the stages with a huge volume of marshals and radio crews needed for both days. If you can help out or know of anyone available - it’s the ONLY way to see the action then please contact us via the website HERE.

“A great rally with some nice changes to the TSH Stages that we ran on a few weeks earlier.
The club did a great job of making it (Portreath) feel like 2 different rallies albeit at the same venue which has to be one of the best Single Venues in the country! We certainly hope to be back.”

STATEMENT FROM THE COMMITTEE OF SHMC
Thank you to everyone who has given so much support to both the TSH and to the CARL SORENSEN RALLY held on 1 April this year which was organised to celebrate Carl's life, with the request and support of his family. We have been honoured to do have run this for the second year running - after several false starts due to Covid.
As many of you have been telling us for years, RRH Portreath is not the standard it used to be and while we have been putting a sticking plaster - and lots of tarmac and concrete and days of hard work each and every year to improve the current state of the surfaces - it is a never ending challenge.
With the change in MOD's stance and subsequent multi-use by other organisations of the areas we would wish to use for any Stage Rally, SHMC no longer feel they can continue to maintain a decent surface to run two stage rallies here on an annual basis.
Reluctantly SHMC committee have taken the decision that in 2024 they will only organise one Stage Rally at RRH Portreath due to the venue conditions. It has been decided that as a flagship event, which has won numerous accolades from competitors, this will be the TSH Stages in 2024.
The committee would certainly wish to organise the Carl Sorensen Rally again in the future but like so many events these days, securing a good venue to ensure competitors and crews have a really good day’s motorsport must be a priority. As a Club we have a team of people who are constantly researching different venues with a view to run a good event there.
We know you will be very disappointed with our decision and it is not one we have taken lightly - thank you again for all your support and we hope to see you at our events in the future.

CO2 and Climate change
As part of our commitment to:
• The protection of the environment
• Reducing the detrimental impact of events on the environment
• Improving the sustainability of motorsport in the UK
We donate a small environmental levy from our events to offset the CO2 produced by all competing vehicles, and that of the South Hams Motor Club organisers on the event. We invest this in a local tree planting scheme managed by local charity MOOR TREES to permanently offset the carbon produced and to achieve net-zero carbon for our events.
